A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Smithfield Families, Staff, and Community Members,

It is with deep gratitude and a profound sense of honor that I serve as the Superintendent of Smithfield Public Schools. I am truly thankful to the School Committee for their confidence and trust, and I am humbled by the opportunity to lead a district that is so clearly committed to its students, staff, and community.

Smithfield is a special place. Through my time serving in this district, I have seen firsthand the dedication of our educators, the strength of our partnerships with families, and the pride our community takes in its schools. Each day, I am inspired by the care, professionalism, and commitment that our staff bring to their work on behalf of our students.

As Superintendent, my work is grounded in a clear set of priorities that build on our district’s strengths while continuing to move us forward:

• Strengthening curriculum, instruction, and student outcomes across all schools and student groups

• Ensuring strong fiscal stewardship, transparent budget practices, and alignment with School Committee priorities

• Expanding and strengthening Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming and college and career readiness opportunities

• Deepening communication, partnerships, and trust with families, staff, and the broader Smithfield community

• Maintaining safe, supportive, and well-maintained school environments for all students and staff

These priorities reflect my deep belief that every student deserves access to high-quality learning experiences in environments where they feel safe, supported, and challenged to grow.

It is a privilege to serve this community. I look forward to the important work ahead and to continuing to support every student in reaching their full potential.
